Text Box: Text Box: Outline of Scope of the Wahine Maori initiative for the Chieng Rai Orphanage 
We are delighted to advise that Robert Hatch Movie Producer/Director and also a member of the International Board of Advisors for the Chieng Rai Orphanage are preparing to produce a Documentary.  The Film will present the plight of victims of poverty and sexual abuse in Chieng Rai, Northern Thailand, and solutions being applied by Wahine Maori of Queensland and the Royal Princess Dusdi Paribatra of Thailand, including the establishment of an Orphanage. 
The training of teachers for a school associated with the Orphanage will also be shown.  Students with teachers will be featured, showing the long-term solution of raising the youth out of poverty and exploitation is teaching them marketable skills for a life of self sufficiency. 
For the development phase of production, Robert Hatch from Utah will travel to the Gold Coast in the end of May or early June 2011 to meet with the Founder of Wahine Maori of Queensland Inc., and legal advisor to write a detailed outline and script.  Then proceed with the planning of the specifics of the scope, content and length of the production. Details of crew, equipment, pre-production activity, production dates and elements and post production will be determined. 
It is estimated that filming will take place on at least three production trips to Chieng Rai, Thailand and in Australia where teachers will be trained.  There may also be production travel in the U.S. for interviews of sociologists or other subject matter experts. 
It is estimated that production crew during filming will be four people.  Post Production will take place in the U.S. at Knowledge Network’s production facility.  The film will feature an original music score, incorporating themes and compositions native to the Thailand culture and in the public domain. 
Completion will be in delivered broadcast masters ready to for broadcast on the following Networks: 
The ABC, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Australia
TV One and TVNZ in Aotearoa (New Zealand)
PBS in the USA
CBC in Canada
BBC in the UK 
Additionally, DVDs of the film will be duplicated for use in promoting fund raising for the orphanage and other initiatives of Wahine Maori of Queensland. 
Basic estimates at this point are to cover all production costs including travel between the U.S. and Australia and Thailand. 
Estimated Total to completion:  US $310,000.
